I hate Craigslist. I've been trying to sell my wheels and tires off my old Civic. I'm asking $650 and I've been offered everything from $300 and an xbox to $500. My rock bottom price is $550.
So I've renewed my ad three times, each time I've had a guy email me looking for replacement tires. First and second time he wanted them for $450. This last time he can up to $500. I told him $550 and they're his. He came back with $525.
ARGH!!!!

Craigslist and ebay are both frustrating. I have had decent luck buying on both, especially Craigslist. But selling is tough. And ebay even if it sells, they take a big chunk. Saturday I'm going to look at a set of OEM alloy wheels a guy is asking $200 for. Hopeful I can get them for $175. Would be a steal.

CP! (unless the tires are new)

Mine look better than all these:

What would be a Np? I'm not offended, just curious.

This is reassuring. I just put my SRT8 replicas on my Charger tonight and now I have to get the old wheels and tires out of my way.
I can't wait to see my e-mail inbox tomorrow morning. "Would you trade for my $150 Mossberg 500 that I think is worth $500 because I bought every piece of cheap ATI furniture at Dunhams for it and installed a worthless collapsible stock that will break your wrist after you fire a round?" "Will you trade for my $100 PS3 and a copy of Little Big World?" "Will you trade for an old lawnmower and the complete Garth Brooks boxset that includes the rare Chris Gaines record?" "Can you meet me down at the Holiday Inn and let me make this worth your time? I'll be in high heels and I'll have all the Vaseline we'll need."
Uhhgghhhhhh.

You are in a winter state. Wait for a couple months when people are buying accessories for their cars. Or, bite the lug nut and sell them for what you are offered.

I never understood why people think OEM wheels off commuter cars are worth as much or more than aftermarket. I bought OEM wheels with decent tires for $300 CDN

It's the worst. I'm in no rush to sell but I'm sick of the stupid offers. CL is wearing me down. I've answered about a million questions about them too, everything from bolt patterns to will they fit my xxx. Make sure you say some sort of "still have them if the ad is up" disclaimer because you'll get a thousand "do you still have them?" emails from phantoms that disappear after you say yes.

That's what I was thinking. If this guy doesn't come through I'll let the ad expire and try again when people start going outside again.

Jeeze, $650 for stock civic wheels is sounds like a lot. I don't know much about the Honda scene though so sorry if that sounds rude.
EDIT: Sorry, completely reasonable if it's with tires.

Is there any way these would fit a Cruze? I kid. But only a little bit. Dat simple five spoke is awesome.

That's hilarious but at the same time it makes me angry like the show does.
Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, but they certainly seem like some of the scummiest people around.

I would take the $500.
Now they do look clean, but realize the only people looking for civic wheels on CL (for lack of a better word) are tuners. Over $500 and they start looking at rotas, etc.
Props for taking the time to clean them, and take good pics though. I'm always amazed at the number of people who take the time to post something, but won't spend another 10 mins to clean what they are selling, or worse don't post any pics at all.

I don't think more, but 150-175 for a nice looking set of wheels is a good price. I'm thinking about selling my trim level wheels for $350, which is about the going price. My summer wheels are ~$900. I know what wheels sell for.

No worries, opinions wanted or I wouldn't have posted! And yes rims, tires, and wheel locks!
They're actually off a Crosstour believe it of not

Haha one lady wanted them for her Honda Pilot. The rims would fit, but the tires are low profile ExtremeContacts. It would have looked ridiculous so I didn't even reply.

Good points. The thing is I've had a ton of interest but no body would commit so I think I'm priced right. Thanks for the feedback!

Are they 17's or 18's? I can see those on an accord.
Completely unrelated, but I love the new gen Accord. Black w/ sunroof and 6MT at my local dealership and I'd be test driving it immediately haha.

17's and yes they they a pretty good job with the new design. Somebody at work has a black coupe and it is quite handsome.

My co worker was quoted $475 for 1 alloy rim for her new Hyundai that bent. One. No tire, no mounting, no balancing. Luckily she got suckered into buying the wheel protection plan and they ended up covering it. It seems high but that's just what they go for.

At that point, it makes more sense to go aftermarket

If someone didn't mind the fwd, a v6 coupe with a 6MT would be a nice choice. Get it with all the goodies cheaper than a used E92

All the stars for this post.
There needs to be a simple IQ quiz to use Craigslist, I think. Fewer backwater inbreds will use the site that way.
